Rohan Menon
My name is Rohan Menon, I am a Dutch citizen but have grown up in Singapore. I am joining ASIF as a Deal Flow Fellow, where I am especially excited to be immersed in some of the most interesting new emerging technologies. I am currently in my second year of a BSc in Artificial Intelligence at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where I’ve also done extracurricular research at the University of Sydney and University of Oxford.
My experience consists of a blend of technical and business focused internships ranging from building product strategy at later-stage start-ups to creating proprietary research focused machine learning models. This range of experience and my current degree program has led me to be very interested in future technologies and the innovation contained within the startup ecosystem. This is what has led me to ASIF ventures. Specifically its thesis of connecting students with early stage funding, a stage of funding I’ve found to be particularly lacking, especially in Europe.
I hope to bring a blend of technical and business acumen to ASIF to help support ASIF and student entrepreneurs in building the next generation of impactful products and disruptive technologies.
